  • Buttermilk: 1 bowl
  • Salt: to taste
  • Turmeric powder: 1/2 tbsp
  • Cumin coriander powder: 1/2 tbsp
  • Sugar: to taste
  • Soaked moong dal: 1 tbsp
  • Soaked methi seeds: 1 tbsp
  • Fresh coriander: some
  • Green garlic: some
  • Green chilli: 1
  • Ginger: 1/2 inch
  • Oil: 1/2 tbsp
  • Mustard seed: 1/4 tbsp
  • Sesame seed: 1/4 tbsp
  • Asafoetida: 1/4 tbsp

Directions

step 1
take Handvo Flour (mix of rice, chickpea dal, toor dal aata) and add buttermilk and make batter and rest for 12 hours
step 2
take 2 tbsp moong dal, 2 tbsp methi seeds soak into water saperately for 8 hours
step 3
after 12 hours our handva batter fermantation is perfect
step 4
add soaked moong, methi, ground bottel gourd, green garlic, fresh coriander, green chilli, ginger paste, salt, turmeric, cumin coriander powder, sugar, and mix well
step 5
take batter on bowl for 1 handva
step 6
add 1/2 tbsp baking soda on small bowl and mix in one direction
step 7
take oil on pan add mustard seed, seasame seed, add asafoetida
step 8
add small bowl batter on pan than spread equally, and let it cook
step 9
cook perfectly untill crispy on both side
step 10
our handvo is ready serve with catchup
